Our restaurant is paramount to our goals of serving quality produce which we source from many locales.  Seafood dishes are a complement to our white wines and lighter beers, whilst game meats from local and Tasmanian producers suit not only the darker wines and ales, but the rustic environment that is Hickinbotham. Chef Marcus Levy and his team ensures nothing but the best is produced in our kitchen.

 

We are all about great wine and beer, fresh local food and a relaxed atmosphere.  With our warm open fireplace, live music, rustic surrounds and stunning views, Hickinbotham is a “great escape.”

 

Join us as our Escape menu takes your senses on an adventure from our garden, through the vineyard and local orchards, finishing up at our beautiful bay.  Be sure to stop and feast your eyes on our appetising dishes and delight in the aromas coming from the kitchen, before finally tasting our succulent meals and sampling our award-winning beer and wines.

Sorrento Picnic           $8

The 'Picnic' style was developed exclusively at Red Hill Cheese to complement the local wines. Texturally a robust, hearty cheese, “Picnic” is an intriguing semi-hard style which exhibits mild but lingering flavours with a clean savoury/ acid finish

 

Main Ridge Chevre     $9

Award winning and highly renowned chevre which is a delicate, soft & creamy curd with a hint of citrus.

 

Merrick’s Mist            $10

Merricks Mist has a bloomy white coat and sweet, creamy flavours. The milk, together with the

traditional make and long maturation, ensure richness & complexity, giving great depth of flavour with a long aftertaste. Unforgettable after 6 weeks of age, when golden flora may appear to influence bouquet and flavour.

 

 

Granny’s Blue            $10

Granny’s Blue captures the clean flavours the rich cow milk from Wattlebank Park Farm. It displays a grey-white, crusty rind with a dense spread of blue filaments. Although the structure seems crumbly, the mouthfeel is mild, buttery and soft. Snuggles up nicely to our buttery chardonnay.
